 Aiken makes brief appearance on campus "American Idol" runner-up and UNC Charlotte student Clay Aiken arrived on campus earlier today to film part of a segment for ABC's "Prime Time Thursday with Diane Sawyer." On his way through campus, he was quickly swarmed by fans between the Cone and Colvard buildings, but still took the time to sign a few autographs before being whisked away once again.
Regina Young-Hyatt, associate director of student activities has been trying to get Aiken to come back to UNCC for an upcoming event. "We've had zero success because of his schedule," said Young-Hyatt. "We would love to have something [on campus] - even if it was just a meet and greet." There is no word as of this afternoon if Aiken will be making another visit anytime soon. |
